La artista fue convocada por la UNAM y el Museo Jumex para la realización de una acción artística con el tema de la muerte

Abocada al video, la escritura, el dibujo y el performance, la artista chilanga (Ciudad de México, 1991) abordó el tema en una acción artística efectuada en el Palacio de la Escuela de Medicina, en una colaboración entre ese recinto de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) y el Museo Jumex, con motivo de la Noche de Museos.

Paloma Contreras habló fuerte y de manera crítica. Recordó que, en este país, todos los días se encuentran cuerpos en las búsquedas de madres y padres que, acechados por el Estado, buscan a sus muertos acompañados del silencio, muchísimo silencio de tipo estatal.

El clímax de la velada llegó de la mano de tres historias de entrañas violentas, relacionados con pasajes oscuros de la historia nacional, dos de ellos, y, el otro, de corte autobiográfico.

The artist was invited by the UNAM and the Jumex Museum to carry out an artistic action on the theme of death.

Focused on video, writing, drawing and performance, the artist (Mexico City, 1991) approached the subject in an artistic action carried out at the Palacio de la Escuela de Medicina, in a collaboration between that campus of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Jumex Museum, on the occasion of the Night of Museums.

Paloma Contreras spoke loudly and critically. She recalled that, in Mexico, bodies are found every day in the efforts of mothers and fathers who, harassed by the State, search for their deceased with the companionship of silence, a lot of State silence.

The climax of the evening came with three stories of violent entrails, two of them related to dark passages of national history, and the other, autobiographical in nature.‍
